The Objective
Our client – a UK-based diplomat – was facing an increased risk from a group with a history of violent protests. BluSkills were contacted, at late notice, to provide them with a personal protection service. They wanted to facilitate their schedule; while enjoying peace of mind and reassurance through increased security coverage from a discreet team. This team would have the ability to detect early warning signs, take preventative action and provide an appropriate and swift response in an incident or emergency.
Constraints
COVID 19 meant that strict protocols had to be adhered to. Our design had to ensure a sterile environment for the principal whilst preventing separation of the detail, providing effective cover on the move and a swift and appropriate response to threats.
Our Solution
We drew on our experience of delivering close protection services in domestic and overseas environments to rapidly design a service, which afforded the maximum protection to the client within their budgetary and operational constraints.
Rapid Response
Within 2 hours, BluSkills had allocated a team of our own highly professional and experienced close protection officers. BluSkills’ team leader met with the client within five hours of the task request to discuss their exact needs and requirements for the day.
Within 48 hours, our team was on the ground delivering the service, having conducted risk assessments, advances of venues and liaison with key venue stakeholders, supported by our ops desk.
Liaison
Our team integrated with an existing team of executive support personnel and drivers. We quickly assessed any potential skills gaps and delivered briefings, plans and training, so all involved parties understood their role in the event of an incident.
Liaising with key stakeholders, including heads of security, our team ensured that vehicles could access areas in close support, profile could be lowered and access to vehicle security was increased. The business liaised with other agencies to understand the group, obtain real-time intelligence and risk analysis.
Equipment & Support
Our team came with specialist medical and operation equipment, which ensured that they could respond quickly and effectively to emergency incidents at the point of incident, if required.
Highly Skilled Team
We deployed a number of vastly experienced close protection professionals from military and police backgrounds, who ensured the successful delivery of this service.
Due to the time constraints involved, it was essential the team possessed strong and broad skills with an ability to adapt to fast changing situations – with an emphasis on excellent customer service and soft skills.
